David has been teaching exercise and movement since the age of seventeen. He first began by teaching martial arts and then went on to become a Certified Personal Trainer and Sports Fitness Specialist with the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) in the United States. David works with a wide range of clients, using the movement method he and Anna Toombs have developed between them over the last 10+ years. It encompasses a flexible approach based around evolutionary movement patterns that can aid in sports performance as well as help the average individual feel fitter and healthier in their own body. Along with a background competing at national and international level in various sports (dance, race-cycling, swimming and many more), David has become an accomplished barefoot runner. He took his personal running practice back to basics and built (literally) from the ground up. He works with runners of all levels to improve their running efficiency, performance and enjoyment of running.
